Approximately 220 girls and boys athletes were honored for their participation in basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, powerlifting and track at the Spring Sports Banquet hosted by the Canton Athletic Club.
"We believe young men and women that participate in athletics learn valuable lessons such as teamwork, work ethic, commitment, dependability, setting and achieving goals and how to handle winning and losing," said athletic director Lance Angel.
"These lessons help prepare our athletes to become successful in life as future business leaders, responsible citizens and contributors to society."
