Services for Mary Whitton, 71, the Whitton Community, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 2, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton, with David Arnold and Bob Claymon officiating.
Burial was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton.
Mrs. Whitton died October 30, 2008, in the Whitton Community.
She was born February 11, 1937 in Henderson County to Algie Homer and Olean Denton Kerbo. She was of Church of Christ faith. She taught children’s Bible School classes for 40 years. She retired from Graybar Electric after 33 years of service. She married Billy Jack Whitton in 1954.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jerrell, J.C. and Connie Kerbo.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Billy Jack Whitton, Canton; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Jamie Whitton, Fort Worth, and Douglas Whitton, Louisiana; grandchildren, Chad Whitton, and wife Lucy, Adam Whitton, and wife Jennifer, Jon Whitton and Holly Whitton; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Billie Kerbo, Cedar Hill, and James "Jack" and Barbara Kerbo, Lufkin; sister, Doris Kirk, Midlothian; 12 nephews and nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Pallbearers included Jerry Kerbo, Tim Kerbo, Chad Whitton, Adam Whitton, Don Martin and Terry Westmoreland.
